HOW DO I HARD RESET - IM A N00B

Hey peeps i have recently purchased an spv and i don't know how to hard reset because i need to do this in order to unlock my software using a program called Decerter. Help would be much appreciated...... :)

Just click on the words hard reset :wink:

To application unlock the SPV, I would recommend using the Orange OTA unlock method first.

yea i've tryed that m8 but im on 02 and do not have an orange grps sim card :? wot shall i do? i can't find anyway of unlocking the software :cry:

You don't need an Orange SIM card as its an SPV developers site.

You just need a working internet connection from the SPV. If you don't have GPRS internet on O2 then you can use the pass through connection.

In short...

Connect the SPV to the USB cable and set 'Internet Connection : Pass through Connector' in data connections. Check you can surf internet sites from you SPV.

Access www.developers.orange.com on the PC

Click on Working with Orange and then Unlocking the SPV

Then click To get you SPV unlocked.

Enter you details and press OK and when you get an IMSI error press OK again. You can then download the action register program to register your IMSI. You should then be able to enter your details successfully.

ok m8 i've changed the settings but not having any like, i go to the orange website in favourites in internet explorer (on the phone) and its just saying 'unable to place call' ???

On the SPV goto Programs-Settings-Data connections

Make Internet Connection = Pass through Connection.

The PC Activesynch should also be set to Internet (this is the default setting).

Those links only work via GPRS .. of if you have a specific Orange GPRS thingie!

Try a different link ... www.google.com/palm (for example)

Edited: Hmm actually that might not be it! In ActiveSync .. go to Options // Tools // Rules and make sure that Pass Through Connection is set to "The Internet" ... and not "Work"

grr.. why cannot people who mirror downloads update to the latest versions..

please PM me where you got the decerter from so i can inform the site admin.

For any e100 or updated UK spv, the decerter will not work any more.
