Guest m660xyg Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 Can someone please help? I've spent the last hour looking at diferent tarrifs, however i can't find anything suitable, basically one thats friendly to text users, im currently on the o2 onling payg tarrif and managed to use my 300 text's within 7 days, are there any contract tarrifs anyone has found that could help? thanks
Guest chucky.egg Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 Bloody hell! Your best bet might be to get a bulk sms deal via a website and send them through that. It wont be as easy as direct from your "Messages" menu, but it could be cheaper.
Guest mcwarre Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 managed to use my 300 text's within 7 days OMG, Does your thumb have RSI? Ever tried phoning someone rather than texting??
Guest m660xyg Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 Yeah well, i guess thats what happens when you have a g/f who texts's you every minute of the day :) you try sending 300+ texts on the spv's dinky pad ;) such fun. Yeah, looks like the o2 tarrif im on is the best deal at the moment. Any suggestions for websites?
Guest chucky.egg Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 I cant remember the service I looked at before (may have gone under) but try a Google search.... The other solution might be IM - if she can handle a more advanced phone. If she cant then there might be a version for Symbian 60 phones (Nokia 7650 etc) by now... anyone can use them and you can pick up 7650s quite cheap now.
Guest ajb3000 Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 How much does that currently cost you per month? (just the sms)
Guest m660xyg Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 I think i must have spent at least 40-50 quid on sms's in the last 30 days
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 I think you'll find calling is cheaper. Me and my gf were both on the 300 sms O2 PAYG, when we ran out, we stopped texting. Stand up to her, man! ;p
Guest ajb3000 Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 How about something like http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=88635 ?
Guest m660xyg Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 LOL, just spotted this on ebay, there is no way i can see this being true or legit: Free Text on o2
