I would imagine that these files are cab files :

Extracted from the faq.

3, .cab

Now these files are another easy install

With the phone connected to the PC open Activesync and go to IPSMWindowsStart MenuAccessories

Place the cab you wish to install there (keep a copy on your PC for safe keeping)

Now on the phone if you go to ProgramsAccessories you will see the cab file you have just placed there, select the cab and it will self install and give you the option of where on the phone it wants to install to.

Once the install is completed the cab will be automatically deleted so there is no tidying up to do after.

soz i should have explained that they are zip files, the ones you download then unzip on your PC, when unzipped the .cab file is there (no problems with the instructions u av sent) , however, there is also another file which simply says SETUP.LST - what do i have to do with this?

the software i have downloaded is a straight zip file - it says i have tyo unzip to my pc then copy the files within to my spv using active sync - but the zip file extracts a SETUP.LST file along with the CAB - it also says that the programme is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate (is this SETUP.LST the certificate?)

if you tell me the application/filename i can do it here, and compare.. (your phone is application unlocked yes?)

.lst file seems wierd.. cannot recall seeing one, but then it could be a specific file for that application.
