Guest Geren Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 What's your fav. WAP or mobilephone friendly web site? Do you know of other sites besides the default favorites listed on the phone? Would you like to share it to the group with a brief description, if possible? Thanks.
Guest grifter Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 wap.sonyericsson.com mm.yahoo.com www.google.com
Guest spv_dman Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 My fave: http://www.inq7.net/mobile - Philippine Daily Inquirer Mobile Website There's also a bundle of mobile URLs listed in the orange website :)
Guest Geren Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 @grifter Is there a way to use the search engine of google so that the result returns only wap sites or mobilephone friendly sites. Thanks. @spv_dman Thanks for the tip. I was not aware that there is a local news site for mobilephones.
Guest grifter Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 @Geren, yes, when you load google on your phone, select search options. there you can choose if you want to search mobile sites only or otherwise.

Guest crashbash Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 When entering sites/url in SAP, does it matter if you use wsp or www?
Guest grifter Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 yes. if you use http://, you get the page in normal version (same content as when you browse in IE on your PC) if you use wsp:// you get it in wap version (lighter and more mobile-friendly).
Guest mariolouis Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 @crashbash mobile site are like "light" html. a little in between html and wap. it is optimized to mobile devices like our smartphones and pocketpc's. pinagkakasya nya sa screen yung contents para di na kailangan ng horizontal bar (left/right). puro up/down na lang.
