Guest crashbash Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 What do these two software really do in our SAP? Are these freeware? Can they improve the camera function in terms of capturing and minimizing image 'flickering'? Thanks for those who will share their experience on these. :)
Guest grifter Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 these 2 are registry hacks to improve the speed of basic functions like menu switching, etc. it does not have any effect on the camera.
Guest crashbash Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 grifter, so once i install it, it will modify my registers. Is it by removing thru add/remove programs, will it return the original registry settings in my SAP?
Guest grifter Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 yup. it will revert the reg keys when you uninstall. i tried to install them before but I didn't notice any difference. hmmm.. maybe it's psychological. hehe
Guest BrAGoL Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 @grifter in what rom did you try the speedmenu & speedboost? i already tried it before on a rom ver 1.3.7.8 but also did'nt notice any difference...
Guest BrAGoL Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 ok... and they said that it'll be not needed anymore on 1.50.9.1...
Guest crashbash Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 so i don't need to install it then, coz i have 1.5.0.28
Guest sweetyls Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 i'm using the smart 1.50 and i haven't noticed any improvements either... maybe i should just uninstall them, what dyu think? =)
Guest chibako Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 i'm using the smart 1.50 and i haven't noticed any improvements either... maybe i should just uninstall them, what dyu think? =) @sweetlys, try uninstalling them first then feel your sapsap. ;) if it feel the same without the speedmenu and speedboost, there's no need for you to install them again... try it! feedback na lang! :D
Guest diamondsnake Posted September 27, 2003 Report Posted September 27, 2003 parang psychological nga lang...hehehe..
Guest neo168 Posted September 27, 2003 Report Posted September 27, 2003 A friend show me his SAP loaded with speed*. I notice that when he navigate through the menu that it is faster and the clock seldom show up.
Guest chibako Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 parang psychological nga lang...hehehe.. I agree! ;)
Guest ses Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 Am using 1.5 version and installed both speedmenus and speedboosts. It did speedup process time.
Guest wolfman Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 same here. no noticeable increase in speed. i even think it's slowing my phone down! i didn't install them anymore when i upgraded to the Qtek rom.

Guest sweetyls Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 i had them uninstalled na. parang no significant difference talaga. the only thing i noticed is that with the speed installed, mas mabilis ung pag display ng program menu. but that's about it. btw, is smart doing anything about that in its future rom? and how future is future? ang tagal e...
Guest grifter Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 speedmenu and speedboost has no significant improvement on ROM 1.5
Guest crashbash Posted October 4, 2003 Report Posted October 4, 2003 speedmenu and speedboost has no significant improvement on ROM 1.5 you're right... i should have listened to you guys already... i installed and removed the apps after a week. at least, i have proven it for myself.
