Shortcuts to non standard apps not showing up on homescreen

For some reason, when I try to create a shortcut to a non standard application (like smartphone notes), instead of showing the program's icon, it displays a question mark.

Is there any way to get around this?

See code below as example:

<plugin clsid="{A1536C57-6AC2-4c31-9542-B144B0E9D076}" name="myscuts" height="18">

<format state="selected" bgcolor="#FFFF00"/>

<background b-border-width="0"/>

<shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuCall History.lnk">

<text> </text>

</shortcut>

<shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuSettings.lnk">

<text> </text>

</shortcut>

<shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuAccessoriesCalculator.lnk">

<text> </text>

</shortcut>

<shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuWMPlayer.lnk">

<text> </text>

</shortcut>

<shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuMicrosoftMSN Messenger.lnk">

<text> </text>

</shortcut>

<shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuAccessoriesActiveSync.lnk">

<text> </text>

</shortcut>

<shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuSmartphoneNotes.lnk">

<text> </text>

</shortcut>

<shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuAccessoriesInfrared Receive.lnk">

<text> </text>

</shortcut>

<shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuSP Task Mgr EN.lnk">

<text> </text>

</shortcut>

</plugin>

So there is no way to replace the "blank" icon w/ just a text link, or maybe w/ a small picture file?

Thanks for the link. I think I'm just going to substitute one of the icons on that list instead of actually trying to display the program's actual icon.

-Thanks again for your help
