Guest micropathic Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 For some reason, when I try to create a shortcut to a non standard application (like smartphone notes), instead of showing the program's icon, it displays a question mark. Is there any way to get around this? See code below as example: <plugin clsid="{A1536C57-6AC2-4c31-9542-B144B0E9D076}" name="myscuts" height="18"> <format state="selected" bgcolor="#FFFF00"/> <background b-border-width="0"/> <shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuCall History.lnk"> <text> </text> </shortcut> <shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuSettings.lnk"> <text> </text> </shortcut> <shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuAccessoriesCalculator.lnk"> <text> </text> </shortcut> <shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuWMPlayer.lnk"> <text> </text> </shortcut> <shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuMicrosoftMSN Messenger.lnk"> <text> </text> </shortcut> <shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuAccessoriesActiveSync.lnk"> <text> </text> </shortcut> <shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuSmartphoneNotes.lnk"> <text> </text> </shortcut> <shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuAccessoriesInfrared Receive.lnk"> <text> </text> </shortcut> <shortcut width="19" action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuSP Task Mgr EN.lnk"> <text> </text> </shortcut> </plugin> </home>
Guest drblow Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 I don't think there is a way round that m8 - it has been mentioned before, but can't remember when or why!! ;)
Guest micropathic Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 So there is no way to replace the "blank" icon w/ just a text link, or maybe w/ a small picture file?
Guest pcheaven Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 Nice idea, and very usefull Not sure it can be done though.
Guest randy Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 this may help... http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=714 look for "Small customised icons"
Guest micropathic Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 Thanks for the link. I think I'm just going to substitute one of the icons on that list instead of actually trying to display the program's actual icon. -Thanks again for your help
