Major ActiveSync problem - PLEASE HELP!!

Hello All,

For some reason this morning my phone is refusing to sync with my PC - i get the message saying synchronisation cannot complete, disconnect and try again or refer to the troubleshooter for help.

Of course, the troubleshooter is no help whatsoever!!

i've searched the forum already and tried all the suggestions, including uninstalling activesync, removing the HTC USB Sync in device manager, etc, etc, but to no avail!

nothing has changed on my PC, other than i started using a USB memory key yesterday - could this have something to do with it?!

i'm stuck without synchronisation - any help would be very gratefully received,

Check your firewall settings,

Mcafee has been known to cause problems.

I have this problem once in awhile.

Turn the phone off and back on again then try again.

If that doesnt work, close active sync via taskmanager on the PC and restart it.

I can usually get away without doing either of these by forcing a sync either thru active sync on the phone or on the pc you can click

file->connect
