I was at the 1st Grand Eyeball of SmartPhone MoDaCo - General Pinoy held at Gerry's Grill Park Square Makati Philippines, Sept 5, 2003 Friday evening.

I believe the Seattle's Best meet was the 2nd EB. The Melange meet (later) would be the 3rd EB.

Eyeball- a filipino colloquial is a get together of people who've only met on the internet, such such as chat room members, forum posters, etc probably derived as from the American verb eyeball meaning "to see" as in "He'd like to eyeball the house before buying it". the term is usually shorten to "EB". this has been in used in the philippines for several yearsbefore the advent of webcams, sorry if we are ruining her majesty's english. :D

That's okay...her majesty doesn't have the same accent as me. I speak more like Rocky Balboa...and you can't mess that up. ;)

My latest English dictionary includes lots of words from 'world English' recognising that as the worlds most widely spoken language it varies quite a lot from place to place. Pidgin English from africa is really weird! So don't worry, it's not really the Queen's any more. And encece, not many people have the same accent as the queen! She can rhyme 'house' with 'mice'.
