Bulverde is due to ship some time next year, with further details to be made public during the first half of 2004

Quite a while to wait then ;) chances are then that we wont see this in a device till 2005

Crikey!

I think I'll be investing in one of those, maybe Windows Mobile 2004 could have a 3d acceletated GUI like Longhorn. That could be interesting.

Hmmm... I read somewhere about ATI making a Radeon graphics chip (2600??) for mobiles as well...

Wonder which one MS Smartphones will use... I would hope they all stick to one, otherwise programming games which work across all models will become a real headache.

I think they're all going to use the directX mobile API.

Which will be good news for us all in terms of compatablilty.

Hmm - with all this proccessing power - what's the battery life going to be like.

The spv200 battery doesn't last long as it is!

Umm sorry to burst your bubbles guys but being a big xbox user and whatnot there has been talk of microsoft making a much smaller xbox in the future - an xbox portable or something of the like . I think this chip will probably be used to make either a) a handheld xbox , to keep sony from completely taking the portable gaming market with the psp or :D to make a smaller xbox like the psone ....

Or it could be used in a phone which would be fantastic but not really microsofts smartest move , although it would attract gamers who use the xbox to the smartphone platform :P
