WAV files on e100

Hi,

i've downloaded quite a few wav files, all different sizes and length in seconds, but a fair few of them wont play on my phone. There seems to be no logical reason, ie size or duration, as some larger longer ones work ok.

Is there some sample rate problem? any ideas?

thanks

si

When you say they won't play what is happening?

also if you want to use them for ringtones, where are you putting them?

They should be located in IPSMApplication DataSounds

yea i know where they should be located and i can see them fine if i change a ring tone. but even if i play them with the media player they just make a short 'beep' noise, but then about 25% of them are fine, its weird.

If anyone wants to try one that doesnt work i could send you a couple, there small in size really

Wrong format of file the beep means they are not compatable.

Have a look at the sticky above for more information.

Sorry my bad ;) I though it had the settings you need to see if the files you have are compatable.

The phone can play wav midi0 format.

as i said if you are getting a beep then the file is not compatable with the phone.

ok ty, how many wav formats are there?

and how can i tell what format a wav is in?

I think the WAV files have to be PCM coded (not ADPCM)
