Guest aqr505 Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Hi, I bought this used SPV phone which was already network unlocked, and now I'm using Virgin Network. My problem is that I can't send sms. I checked previous discussions and most seem to have a problem of sending sms. But mine is different. Most of the others can't go to the "Writing Window" after Unlocking their phones. But I can go to the Writing Window. But after I typed my message, when I press the send button, the "send button" on the window gets highlighted, but nothing else happens. The sms doesn't go, and I still remain in the "writing window". (normally in my previous phone after you send a message you get a message saying "sms sent"). And for a fact I know that non of my sms didn't go. I have also checked the service centre number, and its correctly states the virgin sms centre number. I changed the sim and used it on a nother phone (not spv) and it works. So, the problem can't be in the SIM. Thanks in advance
Guest spv_dman Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 What ROM are you using? When you restart you're phone what's the first image that shows up? Is it Orange, Imate, Qtek?
Guest goinnuts Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 if your phone is unlocked you probably have the wrong message centre number.
Guest mavisdavis Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Have a look and see how much room you've got left in your IPSM Folder. I had to clear a friends last night because he used up all his free space. Give it a try first to save altering all your settings. Could you send them before? Goinnuts does have a point.
Guest goinnuts Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 i do? thats gonna be a first ;) if clearing your ipsm dont work ring virgin cs ask them to send you the settings. and then hey presto. bleeding thumbs once again.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 If you have only just run one of the newer updates then I would advise a hard reset as you may still have old code still resident in the IPSM
