is it possible to send information to a laptop via infa-red using the SPV E100. if so how do you do this?

Go to Activesync in your phone programs menu, then select menu and "connect via IR". Active sync on your PC should then kick in as normal.

so the pc or laptop im trying to connect to must have active sync installed onto it otherwise it will not work?

another thing. i have just accidentally installed and upgrade for my phone. but i thought it was for the spv e100. it turns out it was for the normal spv. it has changed my phone from version 1.5 to 1.35. now i cant switch it back on it stays on the orange startup screen. how can i get it back to normal? can someone please help?

The only way to fix your phone is to install a newer update.

The problem you have is that the E-100 1.5 in the UK is not on

general release.

So you have a couple of options

1, Phone Orange and get a replacement

2, Install one of the other operators update (not recomended officially but a lot of members do this ;))

Why have they not released this? Surely they cant be worried about bugs, as they are selling all their phones with this on!

Wouldnt they save money in tech support and replacements if they gave people the abilitly to be able flash it back as when it was pulled out of the box?

Another option is to install the Orange Swiss 1.5 update.
