Guest monty Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 What is the difference between sd and mmc cards, and will my spv accept either card?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Member since May and don't know the answer? ;) only kidding :D SD cards are more stable and secure (they have a lock switch to protect data from being erased) SD can be up to 4x faster, can now be found cheaper than MMC and also are available with bigger memory. And yes the phone can take both. Ideal size to get is 256MB SD card if you can afford it.
Guest goinnuts Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 yep accepts both. sd cards have a lock on the side so you can stop yourself from accidently formating them. a;so sd cards have 9 pins mmc have 7, so sd cards are slightly faster. you wont actually notice the speed difference on the spv, but on a card reader you will. hope this helps edit you beat me to it damn.
