Does hard reset work for Philippine version of the SPV?

particularly the Canary V0.99.

i tried the procedure but it doesn't work..

the bootloader haults after pressing the action key for 2sec, only white screen appears.

yep, it should work :?

It sounds like you have the dummy SD Card in the phone (this is the reason most people get the white screen) try putting a proper SD Card in the slot and try again.

Yup your right i still got the dummy sd card inside.

still gotta buy an SD card, maybe i'll do it once i got one.

hey it worked! i just pulled the dummy card out.

but before i do a hard reset i have a couple of questions...

will i lose my contacts after the process?

what important files should i back-up?
