Guest markbrads Posted September 19, 2003 Report Posted September 19, 2003 Is it possible to see a few lines of text under the last post's made on the listing pages? it would save me looking through evrything, as it would everybody else Cheers Luv
Guest Brody Posted September 20, 2003 Report Posted September 20, 2003 More of a request for the wishlist I would think but a good idea, perhaps you could have the option to turn it off or on in your profile? Definately one for Paul!
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted September 20, 2003 Report Posted September 20, 2003 I think I know what you mean, but i'm not sure, and not sure if it would work. Mock up here what it might look like? P Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest markbrads Posted September 20, 2003 Report Posted September 20, 2003 Actually I have a similar feature on my own forum http://www.sme-solutions.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi take a look at Forum Statistics, it gives a brief description of the last post made, just a piece from the first line which is often the post itself, i've seen this feature before it makes using the forum much quicker especially MoDaCo as it's so big compared to mine
Guest Gorskar Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 Do you know a forum where you dont have to register to see this feature? I think I have an idea of what you mean though, and like the sound of it. See the picture I've done below. (I only did one topic view.) If this could be made to only show for the red topics (and maybe only the first 10 or so of those) then I think it would be a very useful aid to fast browsing, and finding relevant topics quickly.forumview.gif
Guest blewer Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 Good idea. Now this site is huge it takes me ages to read through all these posts. Still love it though ;)
Guest markbrads Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 ;) Perfect, if you can get it to work, the notification icon bit is a great feature as well, these features will be good for all members, it can be hard work trawling through the posts, would it help WAP users as well?
