Guest DMF Posted September 20, 2003 Report Posted September 20, 2003 Can this be bastardised ? Or can the SPv be fooled into thinking its a PPC so it will run ? I mean with so many emulators for SPV, why wouldnt it be possible to emulate its closest neighbor system environment ? - Pocket Spark doesnt appear to need the touch sensitivity and it contains the plugin for IE ;) POCKET SPARK http://www.webattack.com/get/pocketpc/pocketspark.html Its a free download, and installs fine, but when you run it, says its not a valid Windows CE application.. works fine on my m8's PPC. Guest nickcornaglia Posted September 20, 2003 Report Posted September 20, 2003 Flash 3 ??!! The standard Macromedia PocketPC Plugin is up to Flash 6. ;) It can be downloaded from Microsoft's Mobile site for free. The only catch with the plugin is.....that the flash files need to run embedded in an HTML. (via Internet Explorer). You can't run standalone flash files.
Guest DMF Posted September 20, 2003 Report Posted September 20, 2003 > You can't run standalone flash files. yet.... whats the betting that midnight finds a way ;)
Guest nickcornaglia Posted September 20, 2003 Report Posted September 20, 2003 I even tried to load a projector file to see if that ran. (Flash file converted to run as an exe) Sadly that did not work either.

Er sorry to be the bearer of bad news DMF but; 1) there is no source code available for Pocket Spark, so it cant be changed :D 2) Our version of Pocket IE does not support plug-ins  http://www.denpa.org/~go/denpa/200304/atlflash.txt er very nice Arisme but; 1) Thats for a PC  2) Its uses a OCX from a PC (which therefore would be compile for a x86 processor not an ARM) 3) It uses the ATL liberary which isnt implemented for the Smartphone OS  Sorry guys I feel like the voice of Doom  But you can always add your vote to the petition HERE
Guest Arisme Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 1) there is no source code available for Pocket Spark, so it cant be changed 2) Our version of Pocket IE does not support plug-ins mmh, these look like real quotes from the original Information Minister ;) PocketSpark is open source http://www.conduits.com/ce/spark/PocketSpa...eta2-Source.zip and the smartphone version of Pocket IE can handle plugins quite well http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...=66734&start=15 1) Thats for a PC it's portable ATL code  2) Its uses a OCX from a PC (which therefore would be compile for a x86 processor not an ARM) No problem, the PocketPC control has the same GUID and the wrapping is done automagically - remember that the PocketPC Flash control works on the SPV, as I posted earlier  3) It uses the ATL liberary which isnt implemented for the Smartphone OS did you try to compile an ATL program and link it with the PocketPC ATL library already ?
Guest Richie M Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 ;) That told me  Sorry, Arisme i just looked at you link and posted what i thought  first off, yes in the past i have tried compiling something with the PPC ATL library without any success - but there is a port of WTL that does a similar job :D (but tbh i have only quickly looked at this) I just a had a look at previous post, looks impressive - are you planning on taking this further? or are the guys behind Pocket PC's Spark planning on doing a Port?
