Guest pwig Posted September 20, 2003 Report Posted September 20, 2003 ;) My SPV wont send text messages.. I click send and nothing happens... any ideas? :-/
Guest Will Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 you can start a new message, just not 'send'? Have you checked there is an sms centre number still in the phone? - can you make calls? can you recieve sms's? Sounds like something got confused.. easiest solution is a hard reset.
Guest pwig Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 Arse! I did a hard reboot and now it wont synch up... ;) Any ideas?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 After a Hard Reset you need to create a new Partnership in Activsync. Activsync should prompt you to sync when the phone is plugged in.
Guest Will Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 hmm was phone in cradle when you hard reset? if so simplest answer is to plug cradle into another usb port. otherwise check the faq for re-making the activesync connections. Does the phone send texts yet?
Guest pwig Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 No the phones FUBAR! ;) It wont even open up the window to send the texts... ARRGGHH!!!
Guest Will Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 comman problem, you need to hard reset (all data will be lost, but problem should be fixed).. Will
Guest pwig Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 Well I ended up getting a replacement phone... however I left my 64meg SD card in the other one and its now been taken away!  How do I install task manager on the new phone?
Guest Richie M Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 How do I install Task Manager on the new phone? Just download the PC version of the setup program from http://www.binarys.com/smartphone/default_en.asp Put your phone in the cradle so it connects to your PC and then run it ;)
Guest matth Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 Hi, May be a bit redundant now but your original problem "My SPV wont send text messages.. I click send and nothing happens... any ideas? :-/" was probably caused by the phone memory being too full. If i put too large a ringtone on my phone it will stop sending messages. The solution is to remove whatever is taking up the phone memory and replace it a smaller file. Works everytime. ta matth
Guest pwig Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 well. it came up with that message .. however.. I deleted everything.. and it still came up with the same message!!!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 27, 2003 Report Posted September 27, 2003 err what message? Sorry just checking your other posts here and you do not mention any message?
Guest pwig Posted October 4, 2003 Report Posted October 4, 2003 That the phone was out of memory
