within the game you can set your clock and then it will change in real time meaning you can catch different pokemon depending on the time of day.

the only reason ive mentioned it is because both me and my fried have tried to get this feature to work but the in game clock stays the same... is there a way of it picking up the SPV internal clock instead of the Gameboy internal clock (which i presume the game is looking for)? im not sure how emulators work so im a bit stuck...

Because of the way emulators work, hacking the ROM to use the smartphone clock would be very difficult.

It may be possible to fix the emulator itself, seems like it isn't actually emulating everything. The Gameboy doesn't have a clock IIRC, so they are probably doing something clever to do it.

Can't tell you where or how to get Pokemon other than that a legal method would be to buy the gameboy game, and buy a gameboy card reader for your pc and download it. Please don't discuss warez on this board.

Anyway, as to the clock... while playing the clock should tick along at emulated speed. This means game time will pass at maybe half the speed that real world time passes. However, in between playing the clock is all bad (sorry). This is an issue I am aware of and I have hacked at it a few times, but obviously it's still no good. I will try and have a look at the clock timer stuff again soon and might even give you a tool to delibrately pass time to make such things easier to manage... watch this space ;)
