Guest hotdude69x Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 I have been trying out the T9 dictionary function & have not been able to add my personal text to the existing dictionary. Is the T9 dictionary limited to that extend that we can't personalise it? I understand that the T9 in the nokias allow the user to personalise the use of this dictionary function by allowing the user to input words not available in the dictionary & saving it so he can retrieve it for later use.
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 The way to add words in your T9 works like this... - you realise it cannot spell "bwahaha" a word you happen to use all the time - you change to abc-mode and type "bwahaha" - next time you write bwahaha in T9 it knows how to spell it Note: Now it might forget the word again, cause it can only remember so many words... and it has tendencies to forget them quickly. A way around this: - start a new text in abc-mode - write the words you want it to remember: bwahaha mwahaha leet whatnot and so on and forth - postpone the message instead of sending it - it will save in your drafts folder - go into the drafts folder and open the message, postpone it Now the T9 dictionary will remember all the words in your message .. should it start forgetting again, all you need to do, is open the text and postpone it again.
Guest sinner Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 Hey can you edit the text in the T9 dictionary? Cause there is an awful lot of words that i am never going to use but never the less still have to scroll through it anyway. Waste precious texting time.
