Yahoo Messenger on SAP using Globe

Does it work on yours?

Mine doesnt, I always get to the page an error occured or something like that. Though I can check my email (im talking about using www apn)

However, using the same sim on my bro's 3530, I can access my yahoo messenger without getting that error.

Why does this happen?

Are you accessing Yahoo WAP on the 3530 ?

What address are you using ?

I use http://pg1.yahoo.com for a mobile yahoo (HTML version)

I have used the above address to get WAP Yahoo by installing WebWapSelect and setting it to WAP (to prevent being directed to HTML pages) and then setting IE to WAP network only.

You could also try using WebWapSelect with wap.yahoo.com

if you're using the APN www.globe.com.ph, it won't work. Globe blocked all sites using this APN except www.myglobe.com.ph

you must use internet.globe.com.ph to be able to use mm.yahoo.com

You will be charged accordingly for the kbs you use.

On your SAP, don't forget the access YM thru wsp://mm.yahoo.com it won't work when you use http://mm.yahoo.com

or as martin said, download and use webwapselect.

grifter, actually yahoo site is not blocked, including yahoo mail and yahoo messenger

is there a way to know in the billing statement what site (internet and wap) have i browsed? is it possible to ask from csr the detailed web/wapsites (say, history folder from the pc)? ;)

Yahoo is not blocked by globe...

Martin, is right, I also did the same thing. web wap select enabled me to access yahoo messenger through my phone
