Guest ricmoo2003 Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 Anyone found out what the app is yet?
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 It's two apps actually - an alarm - a personalizer that helps install/change themes/backgrounds/sounds/programs Actually like the personalizer a lot!
Guest blewer Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 Apps are very good. Sign up! ;)
Guest James Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 Wow! these apps are great! still investigating all the features! a few things:- Jeyo Personalizer:- 1. Sounds, it works but it does not remember the ring tone for line one if you go back into the sounds menu. 2. Wallpaper, when scrolling the list the E100 joystick seems to go select wallpapers by accident, would be better if you had to click to select (like the alarm). 3. Wallpaper, could we select only certin folders on the SD card please!? Jeyo Media Alarm:- 1. it takes ages to scroll back up to the top to set the time if you are at the bottom of a large list, would be better if the sound files were in a combo box
Guest ricmoo2003 Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Awesome apps, but i only suggestion at the moment is, we must be able to select folders for sounds, themes, wallpapers etc, i have hundreds of sounds etc.. and it takes ages to scroll through the sounds for ringtones etc. because all the sound on the SD Card are preceded with an asterix you cant use the predictive feature... Also where do we store hme files for it to find the different themes? Richard
Guest Gorskar Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Ditto, and I know that the mediaAlarm is not supposed to work with large mp3s, but how large is large? I cant get it to work with ANY of my mp3s. I do have Pocketmusic installed. Could this be causing a problem? The other thing is the snooze button - it would be best if BOTH softkeys were for snooze, and some other key (eg record or #) was cancel. Otherwise, just like the built in alarm it is easy to press the wrong button and oversleep.
Guest ricmoo2003 Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 No matter where i put the HME files it still only shows my current one in themes, and seems to take forever while it appears to be looking for more.. Any ideas?
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 hmmm I just placed mine in the root of my Storage Card
Guest ricmoo2003 Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 I have tried that and it still only sees the one i currently have installed, did you reset the phone after installing these apps? or is there a step i have missed... Still superb app though, should have been in the phone from the start.
Guest blewer Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 I have tried that and it still only sees the one i currently have installed, did you reset the phone after installing these apps? or is there a step i have missed... Â Make sure after you have put them on your storage card you go to MENU, INSTALL THEMES. This should then give you an option of which ones you wish to install. (In this screen you can select storage card or device or both) Keep us updated ;)
Guest ricmoo2003 Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 OK i have worked it out, you need to go into menu and install themes, it will then see the themes anywhere on the phone/sd then install it so it will change the theme on the phone but then when you go into themes again it shows the previews.
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 *duh* Should have explained that *wink* - but glad it works...
Guest ricmoo2003 Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Thanks guys, feel stoopid now !

Guest jonnyb Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Also having a problem with the media alarm not playing any sound! The alarm triggers at the set time but no audible sound plays... When in the program to set the alarm time, I am testing with the media player sound 'wm_start'. once selected pressing the right softkey (menu) and selecting play, media player launches states buffering then playing and immediately returns to the Media Alarm program (no sounds heard) selecting right softkey (menu) again give the option to 'Stop' playing the sound.... Any ideas?
Guest drblow Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 After installing the alarm, everytime I went into my programs menu, the phone would hang until I hit the home key, then it would allow me to go back to what I was doing. THis became so annoying that I had to uninstall the app - but I have been left with a msg on startup saying that alarm.exe cannot be executed!! Dunno if this is a bug?? Also, on testing, a few of my mp3 files would work, but I think 2MB is a bit small for the average mp3 song file. Might be a good idea to incorporate a few sounds into it!!?? Other than that, I thought the alarm was a good idea, but would be greatly improved by setting multiple alarms, & also by being accessible froma homescreen plugin & display (oh, but we've already got a FREE one like that!!). The personaliser I thought was OK, but didn't really do anyhting new that cannot be done elsewhere. OK it saves a few extra clicks on buttons, but I certainly wouldn't pay for that! I assume the developers are releasing this software commercially?? I did like the function for changing program order, but that was about it!! Sorry if that all sounds negative, but Hey, it's feedback!!
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 Basically have the same thoughts and ideas as the rest of you have noticed... As for the alarm, most problems (of mine anyways...) would be solved if it supported wav-files as well as mp3-files.
Guest mavisdavis Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 :D I've been plying with this for most of the morning and I love it. I have a few sugestions that I'd like to share When selecting the backgrounds for ramdom it would nice to have a simple file explorer to chooose a folder and like MoRLFeZ mentioned incorperating .wavs for the alarm and maybe mutliple settings. Also when I'm playing a game the phones freezes for about 20secs whilst the background is changing. It would be nice for this disable when your using another appp or game or away from the home screen. But other than what others have metioned keep up the good work. ;)
Guest Brody Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 I sent an email but no response yet ;)
Guest DMF Posted September 27, 2003 Report Posted September 27, 2003 I used mp3's as small as 500k, I still had no sound from the unit.... the alarm crashes on reboot and the when the personaliser plays the ringtone it cant be turned off. Ive no doubt these 2 apps will be bought by all when some basic things are fixed, I found them very high quality products.
Guest Maverick Posted September 27, 2003 Report Posted September 27, 2003 One drawback I noticed is that the Wallpaper changer doesnt center the pics at all..
Guest James Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 i have had the to keep resetting the wallpaper app (changing it on to off then off to on) because it seems to stop working.... not sure why? i also have to swith the theam to another then back again to get it working. The volume control for the alam is getting on my nerves.... it really should be wav files.
