Voicemail alert not working

Has anybody worked out how to get the voicemail alert working? My Telephony setting seem to be pointed to the correct voicemail number, I get the voicemails if I dial in regularly to view them. Just no alert.

Well, don't know if I can say I have the same prob... Today I was on the Tube and when I got back in service area, a VoiceMail icon had appeared on the status bar (top).

...But i also received an SMS at the same time, so I am not sure whether it would: arrive, vibrate if there was no SMS...

OK, it's been fixed now. I had to ring orange and they sent some sort of "refresher" sms to the phone. Now works fine, it took about the same amount of time to get GPRS so if you're getting the same problem it's easily resolved.

Now I have to answer some messages....

:D Spoke to Orange and had my voicemail 'refreshed' and now i get the alerts

I have a problem with my voice mail icon constantly being on. I have checked my voice mail and do not have any messages but the icon is still there. Should the icon be there or do I have a fault.

I have contacted Orange technical support regarding this and they said that they had never heard of the problem (typical).

I would really appreciate anybodies help on this as it is really bugging me, thanks

See Voice Mail Icon troubles further up the Forum and my reply. You have exactly the opposite problem of our friend there and it is not, repeat, NOT, an SPV problem, just an Orange one.
