Guest neojames2k Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 Does anyone know if any of the UK network can be used to access the internet (specifically msn messenger) via grps on PAYT i'm currently on orange and have an original SPV but orange are being about as helpful as they usually are (ie. in comparison to a chocolate fire guard) I don't mind changing networks but i'd like to stick with orange if possible sorry for the drivel

Guest neojames2k Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 What error do you get when trying to connect ? Posted from my SmartPhone! the setting are correct according to the depository, the error I get is "Unable to place call." I've had problems with Orange data before I think my sim maybe too old or something
Guest martin Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 neojames2k Here are the Orange GPRS settings again although you probably have checked these many times by now . Orange PAYG should now be able to use APN's orangeinternet & orangewap but you can also use payginternet and paygwap. I assume that your PAYG account is in credit. Unable to place call could be a network fault. Check that IE has 'auto detect settings' is ticked and then try access both addreses. http://wap.o2.co.uk wsp://wap.o2.co.uk Do both of these fail with error 'unable to place call' ? Also what area are you in ? Orange UK settings Settings for GPRS web.
