Question about Contacts in Qtek 7070

Recommended Posts

Hi, i just got my Qtek 7070. And i´m very happy with it so far. I have a question. The contacts on my simcard (and now in the phone aswell) are shown like this:

Kalle Karsson W

Kalle Karlsson H

Kalle Karlsson M

and so on.

Is it possible to have them sorted like "Kalle Karlsson" just ONCE and then by klicking on that contact having all the information and numbers shown?

Like i had in my Sony Ericsson T610 and P800.

My second question is: How much can i change on the home page? Is it possible to have a large watch like the one on coolsmartphones homepage shown?

Ok, thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the site ;)

How you say you want your contacts is how the "phonebook" is meant to be used

Basically you just need to copy the different numbers for a contact into the same entry under the various available slots, ie Home, Work or Mobile  TBH it is easier to sync with Outlook on your PC and then edit them in there and sync them back to the phone :D

To change the HomeScreen go into SettingsHome Screen

You will probably want to download some new ones tho - have a look in our Customisation section

Hope this helps

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

My problem is that my pc is in for service and i can´t use it for copying the contacts.

Sorry for not understanding, but i could not see where to copy the numbers one by one and then put them where i want.

Another question:

Is it possible to have another e-mail than Hotmail in the device?

And one more: I often see the sign alert! Running out of memory. I don´t have anything special downloaded in my phone. No songs, films, games or anything like that. Don´t understand why the memory should me so full. I don´t yet have more memory than what is in the phone from the first place. But i will buy more later.

Concerning the homescreen. Anyone know how to get a watch like the one on coolsmartphones homepage running on the homescreen?

Best regards

Peter

Yeah, sorry i wasnt very clear - unfortunately when editing contacts on the phone you cannot copy from one to another (which is why its easier to do it on a PC).

Yep, you can virtually any e-mail account on your device providing your e-mail provider allows a connection, just go into your Inbox press Menu, select Options and then Email set-up :D

Never seen that before, but judging by what you say i presume you have everything installed on the phone, this is not a good practice - you should install most things onto the Storage Card - if you havent got one get one as soon as you can. Also turning the phone off and then on again will free up running memory ;)

You can get a clock similar to that by using some homescreens that use a plug-in called LCD, this is available from the French site www.smartphony.com (you have to register with them to download) or you can check out my Longhorn M5 homescreen which has a version with a clock

Hi

Thanks Richie for your help.

But this is surely new territory for me. Where was i when we had computerlessons in school :? (well, we did not have any...)

Guess i have to get that memorycard soon. But still, the memory in the phone should be enough since i haven´t downloaded anything really.

How do i "move" stuff from the phone to the card?

Yes, i better wait for my pc and then take care of the contacts.

Now to the question i´m almost afraid to ask, I see your Longhorn and some other guys nice layouts. HOW do i get them in to my phone, how can i get that? Is it not possible? :?

Feels like one should have to be a computerexpert to manage stuff like that. Or am i wrong?

If you Richie or anyone else have the time and understanding for me, beeing an interested novis on this and help me, it would be so appriciated.

I have a problem since i got this Qtek 7070 ;) ...........My wife (and 1.5 year son) think i spend to much time in front of this forum!

But it surely is interesting to read about what all of you guys are discussing.

Thanks for now
