Guest gdgrabey Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 I am in the US and currently use a Samsung I300 Palmphone - I really like it. I like all the Palm functionality and software choices and phone integration. WHat I want is mp3 and video integration. Is a smartphone worth changing my plan, changing the way I use a PDA (since I am a palm user) to get the mp3 and video capability? Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated from those who went through similar choices.
Guest blewer Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Of course you need a smartphone, doesn't everyone? Welcome to the site, I don't really know much about the palm platform so I can't help you. I'm sure someone can.
Guest Coucou Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 I used to use a Palm and liked a lot of the software available for it. I would say that the smartphone is better for entertainment value - games, video and music all play well - but it's not so good if you want some of the higher spec apps. It's not a PDA and doesn't pretend to be, you can work around some of the problems like not being able to use excel, but you certainly don't have the vast range and quality of software available to Palm users. It's ok for me though I do miss the free accounting program I had on Palm. Helped me keep track of things ;)
