Guest pcheaven Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 I have a unlocked Mio 8380. The Bootloader has ISPM operations, but only. 0. Dump Image 1. Erase IPSM 2. EXIT. So obviously I can backup my ISPM, i think it sticks the BIN file on my SD card. My question is how do I restore this IPSM BIN file in the likley event of a serious system crash?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 Looks like you may need an external app similar to USBTerm :? same problem with most bootloaders on the SPVTanagers.
Guest pcheaven Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 Tried USBTERM It does not appear to connect to the phone. ?
Guest Richie M Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 pcheaven - disconnect the phone from your PC, kill the wcescomm.exe process, put the phone on the 3 Colour Canary screen, and reconnect it to the PC (bottom left of the phone screen should change from "Serial" to "USB") then run USBTerm ;)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 Not sure if the mio has a canary screen so chances are USBTerm will not be compatable :? I need a Mio to play with ;)
Guest pcheaven Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 tried all that. No canary mode unfortunatly. Just a black and white menu system system Hummmmmmmmm
