Guest Gorskar Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 For those Mio 8380 users suffering from the limited number of available apps help is at hand. Mitac has just made available an official service to remove the software lock on your phone. To unlock your phone you will need to visit the Official Mitac site and click onto the unlocking page, which requires you to sign up with your serial number. At present the page is difficult to decipher if you dont read chinese, but apparently an english version should appear soon. This should be easier to do that the Unofficial method, which has been available for some time now. (Source: MsMobiles)
Guest nickcornaglia Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 How would you even go about deciphering the site? You can follow the links by following the status bar in IE when you hover over the buttons. But how would one even go about attempting to fill out the registration form? Is there anyone on the site who could attempt to translate the process in English in some way...(ie. Click the first button on the left, pick the third choice in the dropdown, the fields listed are: first name, last name, phone number, address, etc.) I know it's alot to ask...but this is good news. ;) But unfortunately only helps about 3 MoDaCo members who own Mios AND speak Chinese. :D
