Guest bustamante Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 :?: I would like to ask you if somebody knows a way to have some simple text document stored in the SPV. I tried (through the all-explorer) to copy a .txt simple text file on my phone. I can open it through the explorer, but it's impossible to modify it from the mobile device. I just can read it, but not change it. Maybe I have to use another format or soft to be able to edit text file directly from SPV. thx in advance.
Guest sebset Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 No way to do this with the SPV standard tools... no notepad, no copy&paste feature  But perhaps somebody can make a jscript or a vbscript to create a txt file from the SPV.
Guest Will Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 Hi all, I coded a quick and nasty note keeper website, if you want i could add on the option for it to send a file to your handset, by way of a download? If you want it, just ask.. (personally while gprs works for 'free' i find it easier to use the net. Will
Guest madu Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 good shout. it would be nice to be able to edit some things like .asx and .xml files quickly (minor changes 'course - i'm not that mad)
Guest mr_tim Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 yeah - it would make life so much easier to cut paste and make notes. eg. you're on a website and want to ring the company - you'll need a pen and paper unless you can remember it!
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 It's another one of those apps that is sure to arrive after certification becomes more straightforward :D P
