Guest mortenharkett722 Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 What's the difference between the TFT and TFD LCD? Thanks
Guest grifter Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 lifted this off some news site: "The all-digital TFD (thin-film diodes), doesn't require a D/A (digital to analog) converter, thus enabling the use of a compact, low-power-consumption power supply and driver circuitry. Those attributes make the TFD "more advantageous than the TFT for mobile-phone applications".
Guest mortenharkett722 Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 I think it costs more than the TFT because only a few phones use them. Thanks
Guest grifter Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 everything new is more expensive than the old. personally, I think OLED is the future of phone displays. ;)
Guest rodnav Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 yes, organic light emitting diodes, 5 years down the road. if it ever really pans out.
Guest mortenharkett722 Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 OLED is useed now in some digicams. ano ba ang improvements nun compared sa tft and tfd?
Guest grifter Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 oled is more energy efficient. use google to find out more. ;)
Guest tutut17 Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 OLED is also thinner, i saw it a few months ago in CNN, nilagay nila ung OLED sa nokia 7110 and palm Vx to show how great the resolution is.
Guest elr Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 I saw that also sometime ago... not only that it's sharp and bright but you can view it from angle... and it's flexible too...
