Smart phone unlocking

i bought my smart phone in the phils and i had it unlocked before coming here in Canada. now when i bought a sim card here by local service provider when i turn it on there's a message of "network denied, searching..."

what could be wrong with the phone? any special configurations or unlocking to make again?

yes, you need to set it to search for the PCS band, as used in canada/usa

programs>settings>telephony>band selection> select PCS.
