Odd situation this... so im installing CHIX to the phone k.. it says theres not enough room continue anyway ? - i figure sure, itll find the SDcard.... it didnt, it just said to bugger off, delete some crap off the phone and try again.

So I open the settings and start removing the themes im not using, cept I cant, it says CANNOT REMOVE. K - no biggie, i figure ok so i wont run Chix... i return to the homescreen to find its not there anymore, in fact, none of em work even though to all intents n purposes thyre all still on the phone.

And to top that off, FREESPACE shows i have 2 bytes of free space on the phone itself.... yet i had a good 500k on there b4 this rotten Chix thing.

Any ideas where i can start deleting crap from ? the phone itself is still perfectly functional btw.... just darn annoying. thx.

Tiny update Info:

Ive been into "IPSMApplication DataHome" and all the graphics and xml files are there... is there possibly a registry string i can edit to fix this ? seems that the phones forgotten where the directory is !

Never mind - looks like a hard reset..... it lost all the settings first then it lost all the programs, i cant edit the registry any longer so i guess im starting from scratch.... ;)

Try a reboot first

Then try and free up some space like removing emails and sent txt's etc

by deleting the Contents of the IPSMMAPI folder

Perhaps next time bud, but thx anyway - the phone now boots up with no homescreen and crashes within 2 minutes. Hard reset time.

Well that's your "problem" really ... leaving "only" 500k on your phone memory is really not a lot. Should really install everything to the card, and delete files (texts mms whatnot) from your phone .. to keep the clutter down.

I'm sure a lot of games (not only ChiX) would have messed your phone up... had you tried to install with only 500k free memory...

Oh it gets better lol - check this out.....

After failing to hard reset the thing, which at this point u understand theres no homescreen, its crashing every couple of minutes and no programs work; i decided to use the cradle to install the registry editor - it worked - i was like YAY i can fix now what I know i did wrong !. so i click on another rogram, just to see if its functioning..... IT IS, i tried another.. and another...and another !! ALL WORKING AGAIN ! - I can only assume that installing the reg editor put right a path that got screwed in there.

It gets better, im not rubbishing the Alien Intervention 2 skin because its awesome... but this is the tale.... I wanted to fix the homescreen issue, so i reinstalled the IA2 - cept i didnt get that theme - it released the others - WIERD, anyway appart from IA2 - and the talking keypad - everythings back to normal !!
