Guest chrisgst Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 after i install some apps, i've noticed when i open my REMOVE PROGRAM (on my SPV), no more listed apps and games. How can I restore it, HELP
Guest pcheaven Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 power on and off, this may help. Or try uninstalling from activesycn
Guest chrisgst Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 currently i'm unistalling files on my PC, i've open and close my SPV several times, but nothing happened, is there another way to restore it, thanks
Guest BrAGoL Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 try to revert it... re-install it again on the same location where you first installed it...
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 @chrisgst Restore the LISTS? Not sure kung pwede pang ganun ngayong na-erase na yung *.tmp sa bawat folder na nasa IPSMWindowsAppMgr. I believe these .tmp files contains the necessary delete or uninstall command nung program so pagnawala to, pano ka pa makakapag uninstall? Logical di ba. (Try mong buksan isang .tmp using notepad sa PC and may makikita kang code/syntax dun) Ang ginagawa ko now is I backup the AppMgr folder in IPSMWindowsAppMgr. The only way to know kung effective nga tong ginagawa ko is to wait till mawala na naman yung mga entries then saka ko copy paste sa IPSM yung backup ko. Sana gumana to. Therefore as what BrAGoL mentioned, re-install all programs first para meron na namang entries sa Remove Programs ng Settings folder then backup all the contents of the AppMgr as what I've discussed. Pag nawala na naman entries, ilagay yung binak up. Sana gumana awa ng diyos. Yun lang po.
Guest chrisgst Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 Ok, thanks, subukan ko ngayon
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 To backup AppMgr folder using SmartExplorer: 1. Highlight the folder first (press *) 2. RENAME first folder first para di mag error (you decide basta hindi "AppMgr") 3. Copy selection. 4. Choose destination directory (SD recommended) then Paste selection. 5. Once done, rename mo ulit sa orig folder name (e.i. "AppMgr") 6. You now have a backup of the entire AppMgr folder. Pag mi bago app installed, yung individual folder na lang nung app ang backup mo. ;)
Guest pyke Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 sounds good and logical.thanks for the idea.hopefully, gagana nga to.it should.
Guest kulepoy Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 bkt ung sakin kahit maginstall ka ulit, wla na talaga nadadagdag sa list.. palagi ng blank.
Guest tutut17 Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 @kulepoy- baka yung ini-install mo napunta sa IPSMWindowsAppMgrInstall na folder, from there pwede mo i-execute yung installation. ;)
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 bkt ung sakin kahit maginstall ka ulit, wla na talaga nadadagdag sa list.. palagi ng blank. kakaiba  la pa kong ganitong experience
Guest spv_dman Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 after i install some apps, i've noticed when i open my REMOVE PROGRAM (on my SPV), no more listed apps and games. How can I restore it, HELP Sa na-experience ko, kapag na-reach na ng spv yung limit sa installed application, it doesn't display the lists of installed applications anymore via the "remove programs" on the phone. I don't know the exact limit but removing the programs via activesync will do the trick. I've done that twice already and after restoring the phone back to ;)
Guest BrAGoL Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 @spv_dman is it a limit of installed apps? or a limit of IPSM memory?
Guest spv_dman Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 @spv_dman is it a limit of installed apps? or a limit of IPSM memory? I think limit of installed apps, kasi meron pa akong 2MB+ space and physical memory still beyond 5mb when I encountered that error.
Guest chrisgst Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 ok na, i've uninstalled about 5 programs, and my REMOVE PROGRAM is back, THANKS
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 FYI: I got this info from the Help and Advice Section of the forum c/o awarner...ang sabi dun... ...if you have 50+ installed apps the list dissappears. A fix for this is to uninstall the apps games etc via Activsync until you get back to 49 enteries then the list reappears as if by magic. So depende pala sa NUMBER of installed applications kung magpapakita yung lists or hindi. Thus, tama si spv_dman! I think limit of installed apps, kasi meron pa akong 2MB+ space and physical memory still beyond 5mb when I encountered that error. I love MoDaCo! ;)

Guest pyke Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 @everyone help! nangyari rin sakin 'to!!!! pero the appmgr folder's complete naman. weird. panu un? what's the step by step procedure (for dummies)? ;) what a "COACCIDENCE"(he-he!)!this just happened to me kaninang umaga.i had to go on half day pa sa work so i can re-install all my apps.diniretcho hard reset ko na rin.
Guest sweetyls Posted October 13, 2003 Report Posted October 13, 2003 badtrip noh. i did a hard reset na lang din. haaaayyy...
Guest BrAGoL Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 hehehehe... when that thingy happened to me too, i also resulted to hard resetting... :D too bad that when i read from the other thread that it's okay as long as the apps/progs you've installed were running, there's no need to worry... ;)
Guest binky_p Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 it also happened to me but i just ignored them kasi the apps, games were still working naman (yun nga lang i tend to remove them via activesync if ever i decided to remove them)....hehehe... ok lang bang palagiang hard reset?
Guest BrAGoL Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 ok lang bang palagiang http://smartphone.MoDaCo.com/viewtopic.php?p=97945#97945>Hard Reset? AFAIK ok lang... the problem is, it's too tasky to re-install again the apps/progs... ;)
