Guest micropathic Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 Weather App Seems to work nicely on my phone!
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 A shame it's only US Weather .. cause the app is very nice! Hopefully they will make a World Wide version .. or Euro maybe! For now it's nice if you go on holiday to the US *innocent blink*
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 Just got a reply from Connected Bits - and basically they say that if enough people want Euro Weather ... they will probably do it! Their webpage: http://www.connectedbits.com Thir feedback e-mail: [email protected] Why not give them some feedback??
Guest nickcornaglia Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Would only make sense since most of the Smartphone ARE in Europe.
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 That's true encece The reply I got from them said, that they thought it would be easier to launch and app // service that they had already developed for a different platform. But that they would consider a euro version if they got enough feedback ... so keep those feedback e-mails flowing in... if we nudge them enough.. we just might get it ;)/

Guest fozzie Posted October 4, 2003 Report Posted October 4, 2003 Sent this: "I just found out about this software on the MoDaCo forum. It would be great if you supported UK weather. Many thanks." Just got this reply: "We've had a lot of requests for adding European cities, and we're looking into it. Thanks, -dave" Keep up the requests people [-o<
Guest PsychoDave Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Just got a reply back. "We've had a lot of requests for adding European cities, and we're looking into it. Stay tuned... -dave" Keep it up guys. ;)
Guest Coucou Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Is it any better than using the Infospace service? Infospace Weather (this is designed to be viewed on small screen)
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Well what I like about the app is it can save the city you want ... and it can show several days ... you can download the weather via Pass Through .. and "store" it on your phone. The site you mention isn't half bad though .. been looking for a weather site .. but again, if I want to know how the weather is today, I'll look out the window *S*
Guest fozzie Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Is it any better than using the Infospace service? Infospace Weather (this is designed to be viewed on small screen) What do you mean by better? Why not give the app a try (it's free) and post us your opinions? (Useful link btw ;))
Guest Coucou Posted October 9, 2003 Report Posted October 9, 2003 Morflez, you can click on the Forecast button once you're in the page for the city you want. That gives you five days, not too bad prediction either. I've bookmarked the forecast URL for my town and the town I work in. Fozzie, tried it now. It's good esp as it shows 6 days without scrolling, but it's not for me. It shows temp in Fahrenheit  (I'm unusual here - I can tell you straight away what 1900F is in Celsius, but not 71. You'd only be bored if I told you why though ;) ) and it only does American cities. I would add my voice to the requests but I think infospace has already got there - although the fact you can store from the connected bits app is useful I'll admit.
Guest Myke Posted October 11, 2003 Report Posted October 11, 2003 this app is fantastic. i live in the US so i find it very useful. the funny thing is that my gprs isnt configured correctly but it still downloads the weather.. :- D
