Guest pcheaven Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 Having edited my homescreen xml to display the current date ie by adding : date mode="long" halign="center" x="2" y="34"/> to the carrier plugin. The date is displayed on the home screen without the day. Thats not much use, so edit the registry as follows and power cycle the phone. now you get " Tuesday, 30th September 2003". Perfect HKLMnlsoverridesSLdte to a value of "dddd, d MMMM, yyyy"
Guest philipnorth Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 all homescreens i've used so far already do that.... (even the default orange one) Without having to edit the registry. lemme check the xml ;) this is what my current one looks like <plugin clsid="{44FA0F8C-082F-42b4-BE49-82559F23D5D4}" name="date" height="24"> <background b-border-width="0"/> <date fgcolor="#000000" font-weight="bold" valign="top" halign="left" mode="long" y="-3"/> </plugin>
Guest pcheaven Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 XML OK. Must be a region setting thing for us in the UK. My Pocket PC needs the same reg mod while set to UK
