Guest Stui Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 Does anyone know how to back the phone upto yr PC, without file in use popping up and killing your copy all the time?? I could do it dir by dir and file by file.. but this seems time consuming.. Any ideas?? :?
Guest Rog Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 Hi Stui. You could try: http://www.xxcopy.com/xxcopy30.htm Not used it personally, as I use extensively robocopy from the NT4 resource kit at work, but if it works like robocopy it will carry on after failures and backup the rest. I guess, like robocopy, it runs from the command prompt. Hope this helps
Guest Stui Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 Thanks Rog Had a look at xxcopy, but as you noted its similar to robocopy.. and as the Phone is classed as a hardware extension you can't map a drive .. so any dos based programs won't work It looks like I will have to manually copy each folder/file down thats not locked.. I'll have a look for a windows utility to copy locked/in use files and let you know.. Stui
