Crashed SPV

My SPV will not boot up, it get`s to the orange screen and does not get any further! there are a coulple of very important numbers on there that I had not yet backed up to my P.C does anyone know how I can get it working again?

Bad news I'm afraid :D

You could try removing the battery for a while but normally getting

stuck on the sunset screen requires you to Hard Reset or occasionally

reinstalling the OS :lol:

how do i "re-install the OS"? will hard reset deletes my clearvue(office for SPV) and other softwares? thanks....

A Hard Reset will take the phone to it's "out of the box" settings so everything that has been installed will be wiped and will need to be reinstalled.

As for re-installing, you need to find what update your phone is running and download it from your operator. For example if you have an SPV (which you do) you should only have the 1.3.5 update which you can get from Orange or www.monolithix.org

Always do a Hard Reset first.

Yes a HardReset restores the phone to a out-of-the-box state, therefore it will delete the registry, contacts, programs installed on the phone and messages. If programs are installed on the SD they will stil be there but depending on the program may not run due to the registry refresh.

To re-install the OS you have to run an Update, and most will earse the IPSM.
