Task Manager "Friendly" apps.

I've noticed a couple of apps. recently which are what I would refer to as NOT "Task Manager Friendly"

For example, Tesco Phone Shopper, and Echo (from Pocco)both don't quit when you "Quit Non system applications" using a Task Manager. To get both of them to quit, you have to actually "Kill the process".

I presume there's something that can be done to the applications to make them quit in the normal way?
