Guest kingdom master Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 check out www.mp3prozone.com its half the size of normal mp3's and still at the highest compression. any chance of working with spv or other smartphones? kingdom
Guest Simon Desser Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 It will "work" on SPV's etc. but, they won't do justice to the sound quality. For example, if you normally encode mp3's at 128Kb/s, then 64kb/s will sound as good in mp3 pro format. However, unless the device/PC has the mp3 pro codec installed, it will "sound" like a poor quality mp3, ie 64Kb/s as oppsed to 128. On the smartphone there's no "real" advantage to being able to play mp3 Pro, as it handles WMA's very nicely and they're the same size as mp3 pro.
