Guest Brody Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 The more handsets the better in my eyes ;)
Guest James Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 but why are they always flip phones... not my cup of tea. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest MECX Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 not a flip person either really--looks funky tho 8)
Guest nickcornaglia Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 I wasnt a big fan of flip phones until I realized how well the screen is protected. No more worrying id the screen is going to get scratched in your pocket.
Guest Crispy Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 I wasnt a big fan of flip phones until I realized how well the screen is protected. No more worrying id the screen is going to get scratched in your pocket. Then you will only have to worry about the secondary screen being scratched
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 There are more pictures in the news section showing the ariel and it's massive
Guest MECX Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 What are the phones on the left --the screen looks to small to be smartphone :?:
Guest leo-balou Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 There are more pictures in the news section showing the ariel and it's massive  No way I'm putting that in my back-pocket with that monster ariel - it would have to be surgically removed if you sit down in a rush!!!
Guest Simon Desser Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 What are the phones on the left --the screen looks to small to be smartphone :?: On the left is the Motorola i830, and in the middle the Motorola i860. Only the one on the right is an MS Smartphone.
Guest Smart-UP Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 I wouldn't get too excited about the pictures of these handsets as it's a long way from there to market and I will bet my mars bar that the final versions look hardly anything like these phones, even down to colour of the casing.
Guest DMF Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 I hate flipphones - buy an SPV and a protective lether case instead. Lesson learned. The hard way.
Guest James Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 actually the right one is growing on me..........
Guest priccijr Posted October 3, 2003 Report Posted October 3, 2003 These phones will be released on the Nextel service here in the US. The i930 is slated for release in Q4 '04.
Guest moto_man Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Hey guys, I don't know you are getting the pics of these phones. Interesting though. As far as final design goes, it will look almost just like the pic you have. There are a few issues to work out before ship approval though. I dont think most of you or any of you for that matter will need to worry about whether or not you would buy it. As of this point the phone is only going to be sold through Nextel. Our iDEN phones as you know are HUGE. PCS has no part in the design of the phone. Its all the folks in CGISS. The same ones who make the two way radios in police cars. We only test the thing for them.
Guest zeta101 Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 think ill revive this topic, seems the most appropriate one. Just saw this over at engadget, actual pics of the i930: http://www.engadget.com/entry/8388529185339485/ Think its at that place pauls at, wonder if hes seen it.
Guest BrAGoL Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 @moto_man so, it's really a PTT phone... Posted from my SmartPhone!
