Guest Paul [MVP] Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 I'll try and look at it this weekend... What's the best Windows RSS client? Can RSS be read on Smartphone yet? P
Guest FrankyG Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 I know it's been asked but have the settings for rss feeds changed?(for MoDaCo) It used to work great on Trillian Pro, but I get nothing now? Any ideas?
Guest jmjarvis Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Hey Paul, Welcome back :) Not seen anything for the smartphone yet but I use a Windows client called NewsGator that hooks straight into Outlook. Even works well with Outlook2003. I'm already using this client for sites like smartphonethoughts, jenneth.info, ppcw and msmobiles to name but a few - this would be the icing on the cake 8) I Send all this up to my Exchange2003 server so I guess I can sort of access it from the SmartPhone :(
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 Cool, have to get that! Expect a kick-ass set of MoDaCo RSS feeds in the next few days... ;-) P
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 How do you get it to sync with your Exchange 2003 server? I am using E2k3 so that would be awesome... P
Guest jmjarvis Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 Its not actually sync'ing with my Exchange server. The only way I found at the mo without too much investigation is to run Oulook locally on my Exchange server and NewsGator dumps the feeds into various Private Folders in my mailbox. Works very well. Once EAS and OMA over GPRS are working I'll look into it.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 I have E2k3 with EAS and OMA working fine, so will have a play ;-) P
Guest Xavier Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 Which gives me an idea... //trundles off to write Paul an email
Guest nickcornaglia Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 Did you really need a post to say that?
Guest Xavier Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 no, but if I'm going to be picky, did you need to comment?   I guess the difference is I knew my post was near pointless :)
Guest nickcornaglia Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 But it causes me to rush to see what the response was to the thread! So we are both agreed that there's now 4 needless posts.
Guest MECX Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT :) oh wait did i add to the problem 8-[
