Guest mattstew Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 Just wondering if anybody has had any PUK code issues? I just picked up my phone knowing it was locked, stuck it in my pocket and went for lunch. Got back and took the phone out of my pocket to find the SIM blocked - clearly it had been trying to enter the phone lock code itself whilst in my pocket. Called Orange for the PUK, entered PUK and code (changed earlier on), only to get SIM FAILURE (the SIM was new with phone last week). The net result is that I now have to wait for a new SIM to be sent to me (and I go on holiday on Friday), and can't use my phone (even using another separate Orange number SIM for some reason) until I get it. Has this happened to anybody else? Surely it would make sense for the phone lock to set up the key lock automatically, rather that have to enter the Phone lock code just to set up the key lock each time you leave your desk?
Guest davidhorn Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 Just press and hold the End Call button to lock the keypad before you put it in your pocket.
Guest mattstew Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 Ahh, if only it were that simple! I have to hit a key to stop the powersave, enter my phone lock PIN, and then hold the End Call button to lock the keypad every time I want to go anywhere..... I'm still concerned about the PUK thing, regardless. Maybe I'm just unlucky?
