The current spv and e100's are known for there faults but lets see just how many of you have suffered problems with your smartphones, we have over 10 thousand member here so lets see just how the spv/e100's rated.

2 SPVs - first had total GPRS non-connectivity, 2nd dust under screen. E-100 now and a happy(ish) chappy.

Symbiant smartphones? Wow - those Trills get everywhere! Make mine an Ezri please.

Maybe I misunedrstood the purpose of the poll, but there's no option there to say "features dont work (reliably) but there's nothing you can do about it"

Since I replied to the "GPRS dialing sticking" poll my GPRS has stuck on dialing about 1 in every 3 connections.

You need an option to go between 2 and 3.

Yes my SPV has had its faults, however it's been fine since the first UK update. Pretty much perfect if you take into account foreign updates.

I'd suggest something like: "A few problems, but not bad enough to warrant a replacement phone"

Mine works perfect. I've never had any problems except a bit of dust behind the screen...

So Im a very happy SPV owner ;)

SPV Number 5 has lasted 2 weeks without a major problem (except the gprs, reboot and lose cookies etc...)

i would have voted for "replaced so often it takes the P""S"

Mine is fine apart from the stuck in headset profile issue ;)

The only problems i've had is the GPRS sticking one (ARGH!) and the total non-durability of the original SPV's paint work (it was so bad it lost about a third of the total paint)

Got it replaced with an E100 after i dropped it and buggered up the shell/keypad

The new E100 solves all the durability issues of the original SPV (3 months later and it still looks brand new)

Hopefully the next update will fix the GPRS thing too

Returned twice, first time was start up problems, 2nd phone did the same (SPV), switched itself off, sounded the alarm even though the alarm was off, rang people all by itself, and on a on. Yesterday it gave up enitely, white screen on start up nothing else.

It is being sent back for repair, I hope it is diagnosed as 'donald ducked' and that they give me a E100.

Starting to lose count of the number of SPV's I've had.

Faults I can remember were random turning off, white screen on booting, number 9 button stopped working and headset profile thingy.

Only had my E100 replaced once though and that was when it refused to turn on at all. Replacements still going strong though.

Just going to staple another rabbits foot to it just to be sure. ;)

On 7th SPV! Yep, that's right SEVENTH.

5 times faults (headphone, stuck in splashscreen, GPRS fails etc etc). Only once through my own stupidity (sat on it, don't ask).

Had enough now so sold it and waiting for E200.

what are you people doing to your phones????? i have 2 phones, an SPV and a Tanager (older than the e100), the SPV has been replaced once, not due to a fault, but due to me kneeling on it breaking the screen. And i havent had a single fault with any of the 3 phones i've had.

A mate of mine also has an SPV, his first one gained a fault, but not the actual phone hardware, but the headset. The end of the headset adapter broke off inside the earphone socket on the phone causing it to get stuff in headset profile. So he's on his second phone and again, nothing wrong with that one either.

EmpzB, couldnt send txt's and wouldnt recognise phone numbers should have both been fixed by a hard reset, so thats 2 phones you could have saved ;)

In fact, many of the problems i've seen are solved by a hard reset/update of the phones software

And people replacing phones through dust under the screen?????? you are kidding right?

Lol, the dust does seem to be a big factor here !! Personally, im still on SPV number 1 and have put up with the headset problem, occasinal locking of the keypad and of course the dust ! My phone has had its problems but as previously mentioned, not enough to get a replacemnt phone ! And as time goes by, im eagerly awaitng the E200's arrival - with its kick ass processor !!! If any faults appear with that - which im sure there WILL be, i'll be sending its ass straight back to HTC lol !
