newbie - cant connect spv to pc

hey evry1 just got a 2nd hand unlocked spv and i cant got it to connect to my pc. i load up the disk - first it trys to save 2 files under the same name, is this right?? and the outlook says (could not find package to install on the instollation media).

then i do the Smartphone Configuration Wizard - run and it comes up with(this application has failed to start because RAPI.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix this problem).

have tryed goin through it so many times but i give up :cry: , please help

Hi Pete and welcome.

All you have to do to connect to your PC is to install Active Sync, if you are using the Orange CD (which it sounds like) when you click to install a box opens prompting to Save or Open, select Open not Save ;)

yay that got me a lil further. thanks buddy, but now i cant get it to detect the phone on usb, im using windows xp if that helps.

I presume you plugged the cradle in before installing Activsync?
