Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 3, 2003 Report Posted October 3, 2003 Check your settings forst and are you sure you are not just in a week signal area?

Guest martin Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 It looks like you are trying access pages with xhtml coding and you have also set IE to use WAP connection only. What type of phone do you have ? Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Transform Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 i have an e100 and it is set as wap only because my orange deal gives me free wap for a year. i dont want to use gprs. i am trying to access the orange wap home page which i could before but now i cant for some unknown reason.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Try changing your settings to Orange CSD WAP
Guest martin Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I've was looking at the WAP Open Access terms and conditions and noticed that you must now state either CSD Open Access or GPRS Open Access. I don't know the details of the free WAP for a year but I would confirm with Orange CS that it covers WAP for both GSM and GPRS data connections. If you only want to use WAP then your IE settings are correct. Check that you have Orange WAP homepage set to wsp://orange.multimedia Wait a minute :? While writing this reply I decided I would try the Orange WAP homepage for myself and guess what - its down (same error as you have) ;) I'll give Orange a call and let them know. Meanwhile try some other wap sites like wsp://wap.o2.co.uk or wsp://www.google.com/wml to make sure you settings are still OK.
Guest Transform Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 i was thinking this myself for a while although i never knew any other wap pages to try out. anyway it works now. thx alot for the help ;)
Guest martin Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Transform There must be a problem routing the calls containing the SPV header to the WAP 1.2.1 version of orange.multimedia. Install WebWapSelect from www.monolithix.org and select WAP (Nokia 7650 header) to allow access to wsp://orange.multimedia again ;) Hopefully Orange will fix this soon.
