Diarise SMS

Has anyone made any software that will allow you to diarise a text message to be sent at a certain time ? The reason is my mrs is always goin mad at me when i go out with the lads & dont text her when i get back! The reason is usually because im too drunk to remember to txt her :oops: Need a program so i can write a txt message & store it on my phone as a draft, and then diarise it so it sends automatically at 2am ;)

it cant be too hard to do - if theres someone out that whos good with coding. all it would take is too asign a saved txt message to be sent at a certain time. Just like setting a note on the calender makes the alarm go off at a certain time, its pritty much the same, all it would take it a bit of coding that sets any txt messages in the draft folder to be sent at the diarised time - some out there can do it :roll:

Also it would have to use the radio part of the phone and that

is another security permission level.

Wouldn't have to use the radio part if you were clever ... something along the lines of this idea:- when time='x' move saved text 'y' from drafts to outbox.

Would that be possible to work out?

Why not just send the text in the first place. If you can't 'cos you're wrecked or whatever, then surely the whole plan goes to pot if you get a reply to your 'automated' text which you then don't/can't reply back too :?:

The reason I'd be looking for this software is because as humans we're generaly quite lazy, and if we don't seize the moment we'll forget.

The idea is that ;) meets 8) and asks "Can you bring in my video on Monday?".

8) says "Oh, I'll never remember if you tell me know. Send me an SMS on Sunday night"

:D says "OK"

Sunday comes, and :lol: forgets to send the SMS reminder and the video never turns up.

Yes. I know both parties could have done more, but they were done the pub.

Just think what a wonderful place, the world would be if we were just a bit more organised.

This would be cool to see integrated into an app like SMS tools... Which already resends SMS etc. so must have the relevant security sorted?

Seriously though, I can kinda see where you're coming from. A bit like a self generated text alert. Ok, I'm sold - bring it on :D

(I still don't see how it would work in the 'gives me an alibi' examples though?)

;) Actually, this was based on a real event, but the names were removed to protect the innocent, and the video was actually a Playstation 2 game - which requested to remain anonymous!

Seems like quite a few people like the idea - and if it could be integrated into smstools then that would be great 8) anyone got any ideas of who might want too & be able to have a go at giving it a try ?
