Guest antz Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 All pre-MSN5 clients will no longer get authenticated onto MSN after the 15th Oct, but is SPV MSN clinet pre or post MSN5?
Guest Richie M Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 This has been discussed at great length here http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...er=asc&start=15 Basically atm no-one knows, Microsofts offically statement is here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/res...smartphone.mspx In an effort to ensure the latest security and privacy protections, Microsoft recently updated the .NET Messenger Service, requiring customers to install an updated client in order to continue accessing the Service after October 15, 2003. Microsoft is working with its mobile operator partners to make updates available for all Windows Mobile-based Smartphones soon. We apologize for any service interruptions. MSNĀ® Messenger is the only feature impacted by this update. Some Windows Mobile-based Smartphones will be compatible with the new protocol out-of-the-box and customers will not need to take any action in order to access MSN Messenger after October 15. Please check back for information on update availability. Please continue the discussion in the above thread ;)
