Downloading contacts to PC

I have tried to find my Contacts using activesynch to download them onto my PC so that if for any reason anything goes wrong....I have a back up.....can I find them....errr no....Does anyone know where they are held in the file structure

I have two suggestions for you to consider -

1. Activesync with Outlook - having synchronised all your contacts to your PC, search for the Outlook file (*.pst) on your PC and take a backup of this.

2. Orange Backup - In Programs>Orange folder you'll find Orange Backup & Restore. Following the instructions to use for the first time and registering, you will be able to backup and restore your SPV Contacts, My Documents, Calendar and SIM info to/from an Orange server. Doing this in the cradle, with the Settings>Data Connections>Internet Connection set to Pass through connection will use your PC's internet connection, and make the process faster.
