Synchro problems

Hi,

I just bought a SPV in france few days ago, and I can't install the ActiveSync neither in Win NT nor in Win98 edition2.

Is there somebody who can help me so that I can use the SPV as a smartphone and not only a phone.

Are you getting an error on your PC when you try and install activsync?

Or is it a problem with activsync not finding the phone?

Hi CHEWIE,

When I want to install the Active Sync, the inslallshield does not recognize the USB port (Neither for Win NT nor for Win98 Edition2).

So I can't continue the installation

I think a little more detail is required here!

Have you successfully used any other USB device?

Is you USB port enabled in your BIOS?

With NT4 do you have the USB driver installed? (An add-on mentioned elsewhere in this forum).

OK I might be being completely stoopid here but I had a similar problem and it's because I had the phone in the cradle connected to the PC as I tried to install.

Re-boot your PC, removing the phone and try it that way........

I saw it exists a usb driver for Win NT by a company called bsquare I think but it cost 40$ and I don't know if it's my solution...if you have some good ideas.
