Please help.

I bought a 128mmc from Ebuyer. Put it in my phone, it didnt register it, kept saying 'unable to access sd/mmc'. So, I read all the topics i could on the forum, downloaded Task Manager, tried to format from phone, 'unable to access sd/mmc'

Tried it from my card reader - formatted - wahey! Tried it in my phone, 'unable to access sd/mmc'. Tried a Scan of the disk through my PC, its fine, all space free, uncorrupted, good to go. Tried it in my phone......'unable to access sd/mmc'.

Anyone know anything i can try now? Grateful of any suggestions! ;)

Have you tried another card in the phone, just to check there is not an underlying fault?

Apart from that there are two cards that spring to mind that have reported problems, they are Sandisk and Kingmax and a shot in the dark did you buy the kingmax one?

The only reported fault I know of with the kingmax is that the 6in1 readers have problems seeing the card, this may be the same problem you are having. :?

Yeah, I've tried the Orange card - works fine. The branding on the card is 'I Storage', I don't think it's my phone or the reader - just doesn't seem to like/locate this card. Guess I'll have to get another.

I have the same problem using 128MB TwinMOS MMC card. I can use it on my digicam but it can't be accessed by my smartphone. I tried the same solution, still can't access. Tried to use other cards, works fine.

Can somebody help us. Thanks!

Wildchild - I have also tried other cards and found they work fine. It is probably just a case of certain cards not working in the SPV.

I got mine cheap from Ebuyer - so i'll flog it on ebay - probably make what i paid. Then buy the Infinion 128sd card they have for sale, it'll only be £30 - which is a lady godiver more then i spent first time.

Check out how much you can get for your card - someone somewhere will want it.

Just looked at Ebuyer - they have a fresh lot of 256sd/mmc for sale - wait a month and the price will come down - get one of them, much better.

I originally used a 256mb card from Scandisk and it worked fine for 6 months, it then stopped working. I've now tried a 8mb panasonic card and another Daneelec 256mb card and neither work... HELP!!!

Ive had it enough with all these generic brands out there. Some of them are truly made of crap. I previously had a sandisk card and it got slightly bent, the seals started coming apart and the card was literally opening up, not to mention all the connections inside broke. I spent a little more and got an ATP card and its been problem free for 6 months. They are truly built to last and durable. Got mine from the guys at www.flashrus.com.
