Guest Cyberdim Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 Does anyone have the new blue background of Smartphone 2003? Also the full-layout xml. I would like to see if there are any new features in this xml, but i'm realy after the background ;)
Guest Cyberdim Posted October 12, 2003 Report Posted October 12, 2003 Well, finally I’ve figured out how to get my hands on this stuff ;) . The only possible way for us (at least for now) to get our hands on SmartPhone 2003, is the emulator that comes with the SmartPhone 2003 SDK. So, I’ve started to dig in to it to see how can I extract the background out of it and finally I’ve found a way to access the emulators file system  . Not only I got my background, I’ve also managed to rip the new Media Player’s skin from it  . (Tec Attached zip file include: -New Windows Mobile (Blue) background (the original) -New Full-layout XML -Windows Media Skin files (3 gifs and 1 skn file) Enjoy…Image1.jpgImage2.jpgImage3.jpgSP2003.zip
Guest ses Posted October 12, 2003 Report Posted October 12, 2003 ei.. this may be a very stupid question, but how do I install this? and how am I sure that it will replace the existing skin?
Guest neuronisis Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 Just looked at the Windows Media Skin files and it seems as though there are NO forward or reverse buttons, does this mean we won't have this option? This is a real pain in the arse for me. I know there are ways around it but i thought Microsoft might have added these functions in WM2003.
Guest smittyofdhs Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 Can someone give a newbie some tips to get the home screen installed? Where do I place the 2 home screen files to get this to work properly? **UPDATE** never mind the tutorial, I figured it out. This particular XML file has the background hardcoded into it. So without copying the file to the windows directory (which gets erased every reboot) the skin would not work. So I modified the XML file by removing the background tag and it works fine now. For those of you who need help, Save the XML and JOG into IPSMApplication DataHome. THen go into Home Screen Settings and select Windows Default as the layout, Default as the color, and Windows Mobile as the background image.
Guest statscat Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 I think from what I've seen in the SDK that there is one new MS plugin that is similar to the icon bar so thats one new one to look forward too (don't think its used on any of the MS homescreens) Then there are hopefully some new orange plugins too, and shortcut is fairly handy so it will be nice to see what happens, I'll try to dig out the details of the new plugin and post them.
Guest markhammill Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 This a great skin. Could someone tell me what I have to edit, to stop it resetting my sounds. It keeps turning on the keypad tone.
Guest mon_nom_est_arnaud Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 hi ! Is it possible to get this animation instead of having the included one in Smartphone 2002 ?
